A little later than I had hoped…but here we are! My first Link-Up and honestly with you all, I am VERY excited about this even if I am the only one linking up :0)!
I have this issue…it has been with me all my life.
I have read MANY books on the subject. Blogged about it; read blogs about it; prayed about it; asked other people to pray about it; and have been envious of those people on which this comes naturally.
Can you guess what it is?
PROCRASTINATION. Or the lack of CONSISTENCY.
However I choose to put it, it still ends up the same way. I get all revved-up for something-planning, making lists, researching, etc. only to LOSE sight of the goal after a few weeks or months.
It’s a good thing the hubby and I have a strong marriage or I may have traded him in already!
So, why embark on yet ANOTHER attempt at goal setting?
I think I am a glutton for punishment.
That AND I have a hope that one day I will be able to say things like:
“Oh yes, I have had a devotion time every day for a year (or month or WEEK)!” OR
“Yes, I run a business from my home and create and sell things that people need!” or even
“Wow! I have made it to church 5 weeks in a ROW!”
Never mind my all time, never achieved, man oh man I wish I could FINALLY say it goal of..
“I have reached my goal weight!
I am back!

So today is the first day of my new perspective (is it REALLY a NEW perspective when this was tried many times before???).
Each Tuesday I plan to post a list of reasonable goals (10 or less!) to carry out over the following week. Most weeks this will NOT replace a regular post! You cannot get rid of me that easily!
((((((Wouldn’t you KNOW it I already have an issue on day 7! I am having hand surgery on September 17th, so I will be too doped up Monday and Tuesday to do anything more than drool and ask my boys to make sure I don’t fall on my fanny! But I WILL have a list for next week…just a smaller one!))))))

Then, go ahead and visit someone-or two-who has joined us and encourage/say a prayer for them!

At the moment, I am still working on a specific TUESDAY button…but for now, if you like, you can go ahead and use the “official” City Chick in the Country button given on the right side of the page.
There’s NO pressure at all to do any of those things, but it might be fun!
Some of my goals will be the same, some will be seasonal, some may be small, some HUGE! All I know is I just HAVE to get it in gear. At 47 years
old young, I only have about 40 or so years to get with the program.
And now, for the LIST you have ALL been waiting for (insert applause and accolades here :0)!)…
Goals for the week of September 11 through September 17th:
- Get OUT if bed by 6:30 for 5 days
- Send at least 15 minutes reading the Word for 6 days
- Workout 30 minutes minimum for 6 days
- Follow the SBD. NO exceptions!
- Post a brand new Blog post each week day BY 10 AM!
- organize craft/sewing “stuff”/area
- Personalize the bookmark for September’s give away winner-Margie!
- Sort through everyone’s clothing and get RID of ANYTHING we do not need, use, or store for next season
- Encourage at LEAST 10 bloggers over the next 7 days
- Participate in at least TWO link-ups over the next 7 days
And that my friends, is THAT!
